One of the best tools for getting in your own true zone. In this post, I’m sharing a fun creative self care tool to use everyday for 1 continuous month. Self care, a collage a day.
A collage a day, keeps the blues away. Facts. Also kickstarts your creativity, gives you a great 20 minute me-time for manifesting, visualizing & you doing you. The absolute beautiful truth about collaging is that you can not mess up. Anything you create is perfect. Truly the all-inclusive art form, any one can collage and create and not mess up!
I was going through a rough time when I was inspired by a friend sharing a post on Instagram of a woman flipping through her notebook of collages. I . am . here . for . it! This is something light to focus on & couldn’t wait to get started.
Self Care ❤️
A Collage a Day
After just a couple of days of collaging, I was looking forward to creating and was actively seeking out interesting paper, tape & inspirations. Best part, the collage itself is always so rewarding. You never know where your collage will lead, the end surprise is the best :)). You’ll be so proud :))

What you Need & Inspirations
When collaging, I have only 3 needs:
- notebooks. I really appreciate the luscious paper, the binding (!), the covers. Trust me, the notebooks matter. They need to hold up to all the handling, glue etc. I buy my notebooks here & here and any time I’m traveling.
- I only use tiny little scissors from Martha Mae. They work brilliantly. Xacto knives & matte boards also come highly recommended. I have both, but don’t use either. I just rip the image out and use my tiny scissors to fine tune.
- Lastly, glue. I use the large stick glue.
Here are a couple of collage inspiration resources :
- this awesome collage artist on youtube, It’s amazing how effortlessly Luis creates with paper scraps and he has a great chill vibe to create in. He sells a fun collage packet.
- here’s my board of collage inspirations. I’ve been curating this board since the day I joined Pinterest, a decade now??
